About this chapter
Pine Hollow sleeps under a full moon. Sela Moonfang, a forest ranger who hears wolves no one else can, runs down from the ridge when a strange howl crosses the valley — and finds Dorian Vale, the town's night-only baker, already waiting for whatever is coming. Over four pages the two reveal what they are and walk out together to meet a shadow larger than a bear.
The chapter is drawn in the Korean webtoon style with the Cinematic page format: overlapping full-bleed panels on 3:4 pages, with caption boxes, two dialogue exchanges and the sound effects AWOOOO, THUD and RATTLE lettered into the art.
How it was made: both characters were picked from the Comic Studio character library, the story was pasted as about 260 words of plain prose, and the studio drew a reference sheet for each of them before splitting the text into four pages. The storyboard, continuity check and prompts cost nothing; each page and each sheet cost 13 credits.
