The name-and-title graphic that sits in the lower part of the frame while someone is speaking — traditionally in the bottom third, which is where the name comes from. It usually carries a name, a role or job title and sometimes a third line such as a company, a location or an @handle, and it stays on screen for a few seconds early in a shot. In broadcast it is also called a name plate, a chyron or a super.

Every style, colourway, length, corner and ratio plays in the live preview with no account, and a free account exports as many 720p green-screen MP4s as you want, with a small LazyKiwi mark in the corner. Three of the seven styles are premium and need a one-time credit pack or a paid plan to export — you can still pick, edit and preview them. Any paid plan exports clean 1080p cleared for commercial use, and Pro adds 4K, 60 fps and the transparent ProRes 4444 .mov.

Download the MP4 and add it to your scene as a Media Source, on top of the camera or capture you want it over. Then open Filters on that source, add an Effect Filter → Chroma Key, and set Key Colour Type to Green — the clip is flat #00B140, so the default similarity settings key it straight away. Leave Loop unchecked so it plays once, and fire the source when you want the name on screen. A 15-second export gives you a comfortable hold; the last 0.55 seconds is an empty frame, so the scene clears itself.

Premiere Pro: drop the clip on the video track above your footage, then Effects → Ultra Key, and pick the green with the eyedropper. CapCut: add it as an overlay, then Cutout → Chroma key, pick the green and raise Intensity. DaVinci Resolve: Colour page → 3D Keyer, or the Fusion Delta Keyer if you want hair-fine edges. Final Cut Pro has a Keyer effect and iMovie a Green/Blue Screen one; both work the same way. The clip has no audio track, so it never touches your sound.

Yes, on Pro and above. Browsers cannot encode video with an alpha channel, so the free in-browser export is green instead. Tick Transparent in the download window and the same lower third renders on our servers as a ProRes 4444 .mov with a true alpha channel, which drops onto a timeline in Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut or After Effects with nothing to key. It is a cloud render and costs 5 credits per 20 seconds of output, so a lower third of 15 seconds or less is one block of 5.

Long enough to read twice, which for a name and a job title is roughly four to eight seconds on screen. The lengths here are 5, 8, 10 and 15 seconds and they include the movement: the bar takes about 0.62 seconds to arrive, holds for the middle, then leaves over 0.46 seconds, finishing 0.55 seconds before the clip ends. Eight seconds is the default and suits most interview cuts; 15 is for streams and long panels where the name stays up through an answer.

Yes. Drop in a PNG, SVG, JPEG, WebP or GIF and it is cropped to a circle and scaled down locally in your browser. Podcast Pill is built around it — the capsule grows out of the avatar — and Clean Bar and Glass Card use it when there is one. The other four styles are typographic by design and ignore it, so if you have uploaded a logo and switched to Newsroom, that is why it has gone. With no image at all, Podcast Pill falls back to the initials of the name.

Each style ships with two or three colourways — nineteen across the seven — and on top of that there are ten accent presets and a custom hex picker, which recolour the rule, the tag and the neon tube. Auto puts the colourway's own accent back. For position, pick bottom left, bottom centre, bottom right or top left; the bar slides in from the nearest edge. Inside the block the layout does not mirror — the accent rule stays on the left and the text stays left-aligned even in the right-hand corner, which is how most template packs handle it too.

Yes. Switch to 9:16 and the layout is rebuilt for that frame rather than cropped out of a widescreen render, and the bar is anchored higher up so it clears burned-in captions and the platform's own buttons on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. 1:1 is there for feed posts. The green-screen file keys the same way in CapCut, which is where most vertical edits happen.

Premium only affects downloading: you can select them, retype the name, change the colourway and watch them play in full, and the paywall appears when you press Download. A one-time credit pack or any paid plan unlocks them, and the same purchase removes the watermark. The default Clean Bar is never locked, and Boxed Tag, Podcast Pill and Documentary are free to export too.

On any paid plan, yes. Those exports are 1080p or better, with no watermark, cleared for commercial use — monetised channels, sponsored videos, ads and graphics you make for clients. Free 720p exports, and clean exports bought with a credit pack alone, are for personal use. If the video earns money, promotes a business, or the lower third is for a client, export it from a paid plan.
