Higgsfield Free Alternative: 8 AI Video Tools Compared

Higgsfield is one of the busiest AI video suites of 2026: Seedance, Kling 3.0, Wan 3.0, Sora 2 and Google Veo all run under one login, next to its own Soul, Genjutsu and Cinema Studio tools. It is also, by its own pricing page, a product with almost nothing on the free tier. If you typed "higgsfield free" hoping for a free plan, this article tells you exactly what the $0 tier includes, what the paid plans cost, and which eight tools work as a Higgsfield free alternative with a usable $0 tier, with LazyKiwi first because it is ours. Every plan and price was read from the vendor's pricing page on 15 October 2026. We did not benchmark output quality, so the comparison is about what you get for nothing and what the first paid step costs.

What does Higgsfield's free plan actually give you?

Open higgsfield.ai/pricing and you will not find a free card among the plans. The Free tier only appears further down, in the Compare features table, where it is labelled "Limited use". Reading that table on 15 October 2026:

Higgsfield's Compare features table on 15 October 2026. The Free column reads Limited use with one concurrent job; paid tiers get two, six or eight.
Higgsfield's Compare features table on 15 October 2026. The Free column reads Limited use with one concurrent job; paid tiers get two, six or eight.
  • One concurrent job, against two on Starter, six on Plus and eight on Ultra.
  • Most video models in the table are marked "Not included" for Free. The rows that do show numbers (how many videos your credits buy) start at Starter.
  • Genjutsu, the headline video editing tool, is listed as "No free gens" on the entry plan, and its bonus runs appear only on Plus and Ultra.
  • The flat-rate model promotions (seven days of Kling 3.0, Nano Banana 2 or Wan 3.0 without per-run credits) are plan perks and the footnote says they are only available on higgsfield.ai itself, not through MCP, CLI, Canvas or the Supercomputer.

In short, the Free tier is a browsing tier. You can look around, open the tools and see credit prices, but you should expect to pay before you produce a clip you would publish. That is a legitimate choice for a vendor to make. It just means that anyone typing "higgsfield ai free" into a search box will need to look at a different product.

Higgsfield pricing in October 2026: what the paid plans cost

With annual billing selected and a 30% off badge showing, the individual plans on 15 October 2026 were:

PlanMonthly price, billed annuallyCredits a monthWhat that buys (Higgsfield's example)
Starter$19270About 135 Nano Banana Pro images or 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos
Plus$47 (struck from $59)1,200About 600 Nano Banana Pro images or 80 Seedance 2.5 videos
Ultra$99 (struck from $129)3,000, slider to 9,000About 1,500 Nano Banana Pro images or 200 Seedance 2.5 videos
For TeamsFrom $65 a seatFrom 1,000 a seat, pooled2 to 15 seats, up to 37,500 credits pooled

Per-run prices from the same page give a feel for how far 270 credits go: Seedance 2.0 at 1080p is about 60 credits per 5 seconds, Kling 3.0 at 1080p about 8, Google Veo 3.1 about 40 per 4 seconds, Sora 2 Pro at 1080p about 50 per 4 seconds. A Starter subscriber who wants 1080p Seedance gets four or five short clips a month. That is the maths behind most "higgsfield alternatives" searches: the catalogue is wide, the entry allowance is thin.

Higgsfield's pricing page and its Genjutsu product page showed two different plan ladders on the same day (Starter/Plus/Ultra vs Basic/Pro/Max). Whichever you see, the shape is the same: no free production tier, credits per run, promotions on top.

Why do people look for a Higgsfield free alternative?

  • No free production tier. The $0 plan is for looking, not making, which rules it out for students, hobbyists and anyone testing before a client job.
  • Credit maths favours the top plan. The cost per credit falls as you move up, so the cheap plan is the expensive way to buy a given model.
  • Promotions change weekly. Seven-day flat-rate windows and struck-through prices make it hard to know what you will pay next month.
  • You may not need the suite. If you only want one model, Kling, Hailuo or Seedance, the model vendor or a smaller host often has a free tier of its own.

None of those is a quality complaint. Higgsfield's model line-up is as broad as any on this list. The question this article answers is narrower: where can you generate for free today, and what does the first paid step cost when you outgrow it?

How we compared the free tiers

For each tool we opened the public pricing page on 15 October 2026, in a fresh browser with no account, and recorded four things: what the $0 tier includes, whether exports carry a watermark, whether commercial use is allowed without paying, and the cheapest paid plan with annual billing where offered. Where a vendor hides its plans behind a login (PixVerse) or a modal (Hailuo), we say so. Where the page lists no free tier at all (Luma, Google Flow), the tool is left out of the table.

We did not render the same prompt across eight services and score the results. Claims about output quality are easy to make and hard to verify, so there are none here.

Every Higgsfield free alternative in the table is reachable without a card. Two patterns stand out. First, daily or renewing free credits (Kling, Vidu, Krea, PixVerse's 60-a-day on paid) are worth more than a one-time grant, because they let you keep learning a tool without paying. Second, the cheapest paid step at most of these services is $8 to $12 a month, less than half of Higgsfield's Starter, though with smaller catalogues.

LazyKiwi: free credits, templates and tools in one workbench

LazyKiwi is the house option, so read this section as a vendor describing itself. The video generator runs several third-party models in one workbench: Seedance 2.5 for clips up to 30 seconds across six aspect ratios, Kling v3 Omni for clips driven by a start and an end frame, up to 60 seconds at 1080p, and Hailuo 2.3 Fast for image-to-video from 6 to 60 seconds, among others. You sign up, receive free credits without entering a card, and the cost of every run appears before you confirm it.

LazyKiwi's video generator page, the first Higgsfield free alternative in our table: text to video, image to video, start and end frames and templates in one workbench.

Two things differ from Higgsfield beyond price. The video templates library (140 one-photo templates: camera moves, dance challenges, short-film scenes, product clips) means you do not need to prompt to get a first result. And the Tools tab holds single-job editors, for example Add Object to Video, which places a described object into a shot and keeps it in place through camera movement, and the AI Video Enhancer, which upscales old clips for HD and 4K screens. Per the page, paid plans add more credits, faster generation and higher export limits.

What LazyKiwi does not have: Higgsfield's Soul, Katana, Genjutsu and Cinema Studio are proprietary and only exist there. If one of those is the reason you searched, no alternative on this page replaces it exactly.

Kling AI free plan: what the Basic tier includes

Kling's own membership page shows a Basic column at $0 in its Subscription Comparison. On 15 October 2026 that column listed one video per generation (paid plans get four), 30 elements for consistent characters (50 to 500 on paid), three daily uses of Element AI Multi-Shot, and no entry for monthly credits or the daily free credits that subscribers receive. Watermark removal, commercial use, 1080p/4K output and video extension are all ticked only on paid rows.

Kling's membership page on 15 October 2026 with the monthly toggle: Standard $6.99 for the first month then $8.80, Pro $25.99 then $32.56, Premier $64.99 then $80.96, Ultra $127.99 then $159.99.

The page also carried a "Kling 4.0 Is Here" banner offering early access to a 4.0 Flash model on the Ultra annual plan, so the top tier is where new models land first. As a Higgsfield free alternative, Kling is the right pick if Kling is the model you were paying Higgsfield for in the first place: you get the newest version at the source, and the Standard plan is the cheapest paid step in this comparison.

Pika free plan: all models, no watermark, packs only

Pika's pricing is unusually clear about its free tier: $0, "0 credits / month, packs only", all models, two video and two image or audio generations in parallel, no watermark, no commercial licence. In other words the free account is a container for one-time credit packs, which start at $25 for 1,500 credits. The page's own estimate puts a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip at 122 credits and a Wan 3.0 clip at 33.

Pika's pricing page on 15 October 2026: Free with 0 monthly credits and packs only, Starter $10, Creator $35 and Fancy from $95 a month, billed monthly.
Pika's pricing page on 15 October 2026: Free with 0 monthly credits and packs only, Starter $10, Creator $35 and Fancy from $95 a month, billed monthly.

Starter at $10 a month ($8 annual) adds 900 monthly credits, which the page translates to about seven Seedance 2.5 clips or 27 Wan 3.0 clips. The commercial licence starts at Creator ($35, or $28 annual). If you need a watermark-free test render without a subscription, Pika's pack model is the most flexible on this list.

PixVerse, Vidu and Hailuo: daily or one-time credits

These three share a pattern: a free account exists, but the public pages document it thinly.

PixVerse's subscription page on 15 October 2026, yearly billing: Standard $8, Pro $24, Premium $48 and Ultra $149 a month, each with 60 daily credits on top of the monthly pool.
PixVerse's subscription page on 15 October 2026, yearly billing: Standard $8, Pro $24, Premium $48 and Ultra $149 a month, each with 60 daily credits on top of the monthly pool.
  • PixVerse: the subscription page lists Standard ($8 a month billed yearly as $96, 1,200 credits a month, 720p), Pro ($24, 6,000 credits, up to 4K), Premium ($48, 15,000) and Ultra ($149, 25,000), each with 60 credits that reset daily. No free column is shown; the app home has an "Earn Credits" link, and free generation details require an account.
  • Vidu: vidu.com/pricing shows a Free plan at $0 with Q4 generation at 540p costing 4 credits a second, 10 references a month, and a FAQ that says new users receive trial credits and can earn credits by logging in daily. Standard is $8.25 a month billed yearly ($10 monthly) with 800 credits, and only paid rows tick watermark-free download and commercial use.
  • Hailuo: the plan picker on hailuoai.video opens as a modal. It lists a Free plan at $0.00 with 0 monthly credits, "One-time free trial credits" and "Hailuo models only". Standard is $8.40 a month billed yearly ($100.80) with 1,000 credits, Pro $30.40 with 4,500, Master $71.20 with 10,500 and Max $184 with 27,000. The home page banner also offered 3,000 free credits for downloading the MiniMax Design desktop app.
Hailuo's plan modal on 15 October 2026 with yearly billing: Master $71.20 and Max $184 a month, with per-second prices for MiniMax H3 at 2K and 768p.
Hailuo's plan modal on 15 October 2026 with yearly billing: Master $71.20 and Max $184 a month, with per-second prices for MiniMax H3 at 2K and 768p.

If you want Hailuo or Vidu's own models, going direct gets you trial credits and login bonuses that Higgsfield does not offer. If you want Seedance or Kling inside PixVerse, the Standard plan's 60 daily credits are the practical free-ish route once you pay the $8.

Krea free plan: 100 units a day, but check the video line

Krea's pricing page describes a Free plan with 100 compute units a day, no credit card, real-time image models, and limited upscaling to 2K. Read the small print, though: the same list shows image concurrency of 1 and video concurrency of 0 for Free, so plan on image work until you subscribe. Pro is $21 a month billed yearly ($35 monthly) for 20,000 units, which the page converts to about 83 Seedance 2.0 videos or 257 Nano Banana 2 images, and it adds paid upscalers up to 22K.

Krea's pricing page on 15 October 2026 with yearly billing: Pro $21 and Max $63 a month; the free tier is described in the plan text below the cards.
Krea's pricing page on 15 October 2026 with yearly billing: Pro $21 and Max $63 a month; the free tier is described in the plan text below the cards.

Krea is the closest thing on this list to Higgsfield's all-in-one suite, with image, video, 3D, upscaling and LoRA training in one place. It is a strong paid alternative; as a free alternative it is an image tool first.

Runway free plan: 125 one-time credits

Runway's pricing gives Free a proper card: $0, 125 credits as a one-time grant, 5 GB of storage and "a selection of generative creative models to test concepts". Runway's help centre adds that the 125 credits do not expire and do not renew, and that models which show an upgrade prompt are not in the Free plan. Standard is $12 a month billed yearly ($15 monthly) with 625 credits and access to every image and video model; Pro is $28 with 2,250 credits; Max is $76 with 9,500 and one month of credit roll-over.

Runway is the pick when the job is editing rather than generating: its Aleph 2.0 and Edit Studio tools change one frame and apply it across a clip, which is a different workflow from Higgsfield's model marketplace. For a free trial it is honest and small; for a monthly plan it is the same price class as Kling and PixVerse.

When to use LazyKiwi instead of Higgsfield

  • You want to test before paying. Sign-up credits with no card and a price shown before each run let you see a real result at zero cost.
  • You want a result without writing a prompt. The one-photo video templates and the single-job tools skip the blank-prompt stage.
  • You want several models in one place but not a $19 entry ticket. The workbench runs Seedance, Kling, Hailuo, Wan and Veo-class models with per-run pricing.
  • You do not need Higgsfield's proprietary tools. If Soul, Katana or Genjutsu is the reason you are there, stay there.

And a fair word the other way: Higgsfield's catalogue is deeper, its 7-day flat-rate windows can be cheap for a burst of work, and its Teams plan pools credits across seats. If you produce dozens of 1080p clips a week and can commit to Ultra, the per-credit price is competitive. This article is for the much larger group who are not there yet.

Free Higgsfield AI look-alikes: higsfield.io and friends

Three of the ten Bing results for "higgsfield free" on 15 October 2026 were not Higgsfield: higsfield.io (missing a g), higsfield.pro, and a site styled as an official Genjutsu home. Their titles promise a "Free AI Video & Image Generator". Higgsfield's real domain is higgsfield.ai, its API platform is open.higgsfield.ai, and its plugin is listed on OpenAI's plugin directory. A site one letter off the brand that asks for a card is not a free Higgsfield; it is a reseller or worse. Every tool in the table above is reachable from its own first-party domain, which is the simplest safety test.

Key takeaways

  • Higgsfield's $0 tier is marked "Limited use", runs one job at a time and excludes most video models; the cheapest paid plan is Starter at $19 a month billed annually for 270 credits.
  • Eight Higgsfield free alternatives offer a real $0 tier or trial today: LazyKiwi, Kling, Pika, PixVerse (behind login), Vidu, Hailuo, Krea and Runway.
  • Renewing credits (Kling, Vidu, Krea, PixVerse's daily 60) are worth more than one-time grants (Runway's 125, Hailuo's trial) if you want to keep learning a tool for free.
  • The cheapest paid step at most alternatives is $8 to $12 a month, less than half of Higgsfield Starter, with smaller catalogues.
  • Nothing replaces Higgsfield's proprietary Soul, Katana or Genjutsu; the alternatives replace the model marketplace, not those tools.

FAQ

Common questions

Is Higgsfield free?

There is a Free tier, but on 15 October 2026 the pricing page marked it "Limited use", allowed one job at a time and excluded most video models. Producing clips needs a paid plan, which starts at $19 a month billed annually (Starter, 270 credits).

Does Higgsfield have a free trial?

Not in the usual sense. The Free tier lets you open the tools and see credit prices, and some paid plans include a handful of bonus runs for specific tools. There is no card-free trial with a block of production credits like Runway's 125 or the sign-up credits on LazyKiwi.

What is the best Higgsfield free alternative?

It depends on the model you want. For Kling, go to Kling's own Basic tier. For Seedance, Kling and Hailuo in one workbench with templates, LazyKiwi gives free sign-up credits and shows the cost before each run. For watermark-free test renders without a subscription, Pika's free plan with credit packs is the most flexible.

Which alternatives have daily free credits?

Kling lists daily free credits for subscribers and three daily Multi-Shot uses on its $0 tier, Vidu's FAQ says daily logins earn credits, Krea gives 100 units a day on Free, and PixVerse adds 60 daily credits on every paid plan. Runway and Hailuo give one-time trial credits instead.

Is Higgsfield worth paying for?

If you use several of its proprietary tools (Soul, Katana, Genjutsu, Cinema Studio) or you produce enough 1080p clips to justify Ultra's lower cost per credit, yes. If you mainly want one third-party model, that model's own site or a smaller host usually gets you started for free and costs $8 to $12 a month after that.
