What pose does the template use?+
One pose, the classic one: standing at the foot of the staircase with one hand resting lightly on the banister, the body angled about 30 degrees and the face turned to the camera with a calm smile. The angle puts a diagonal into the body so you are not standing square to the lens. The pose is built into the template, so there is nothing to direct.
Can I choose a different setting or dress color?+
Not in this template. Both prom templates use the same entrance-hall staircase and chandelier light, and each has one fixed outfit: a black tuxedo here, an emerald satin gown in Prom Pictures Gown. For a garden or a dance-floor look, describe it in the AI Photo Editor instead, which follows a written instruction.
What should I wear in the photo I upload?+
Anything. The outfit is supplied by the template and replaces whatever is in the upload, so a plain t-shirt against a bedroom wall is a good starting photo, arguably better than one where a patterned collar competes with the formalwear being added. What matters in the upload is the face: sharp, evenly lit, eyes open, hair off the face.
Can I use this if I am under 18?+
No. LazyKiwi accounts are for adults, so if you are under 18 the render has to be run by a parent or guardian from their own account. Whoever runs it should upload only a photo of the person it depicts, with that person's agreement. We do not generate prom images of someone from a photo you found online, and photos of other people's children are not acceptable uploads.
Why do dresses look washed out in prom photos?+
Because satin and sequins reflect a flash far more efficiently than skin. A camera metering on the face pushes exposure up until the fabric clips to pure white and loses every fold. That is one reason the staircase portrait uses warm ambient chandelier light rather than a direct flash: the satin keeps its sheen and the folds stay visible.
