Liquid Chrome Title
A chrome text effect for an event title
A single word in liquid chrome — a banded metallic fill, a white outline and drips hanging off the letters — shimmering over a flowing liquid-metal background, with chrome stars either side and a three-column dateline above.

Chrome that is generated, not painted
The background is a shader: black and silver flowing across the whole frame on a slow cycle, which is where the liquid-metal read comes from. The title on top is built in three passes — a soft glow copy behind, the banded metallic fill in the middle, and a stroked copy over it — so the letters have both weight and edge. Two drips hang off the bottom of the word and chrome stars sit either side of it.
Above the title, three mono columns hold the date, the doors time and the venue, separated by a thin rule. Below it, a block of fine print in small caps. The shipped version reads as a club night, but the structure — big word, three columns of practicals, fine print — is the standard shape for any event, and every string in it is a control or a canvas-editable layer.
6 seconds, three beats
What is on screen, and when. Every element named here is a layer in the document — you can click any of them on the canvas and change it.

Beat 1 · 1.1s
The chrome title arrives
The liquid-chrome background is flowing under its dim, the title is in with its glow, banded fill and white outline, the stars sit either side, and the first mono column has landed above.

Beat 2 · 2.4s
All three columns
The date, doors and venue columns have landed under the rule, the drips have run off the letterforms and the fine-print block has faded up at the bottom.

Beat 3 · 3.0s
The full poster
All three columns, the drips off the letterforms and the fine-print block are settled — the frame that reads as a finished event poster.
Three steps to a chrome title
- 01
Type the title word
One short word carries this best — the metallic banding needs stroke width to read. The size control runs from 360 to 520px, which is genuinely poster-scale.
- 02
Fill the three columns
Date, doors and venue are three separate text controls, each of which takes a line break so you get two short lines per column exactly as in the shipped layout.
- 03
Set the outline colour and export
One colour control drives the outline and the stars. Pick your aspect and export — the background loop keeps flowing whatever the frame shape.
Shader background
The metal flows, it is not a still
The liquid-chrome ground is computed per pixel every frame rather than being a video file, which is why it never tiles, never compresses badly, and looks the same at 720p and 1080p. It also means the flow speed is a property you can change.
Three passes
Glow, fill and stroke on the same word
The title is drawn three times — a diffuse glow underneath, the metallic band in the middle, the white outline on top. Stacking them is what gives chrome its depth, and because all three are the same live text layer, retyping the word rebuilds the whole effect.
Practicals included
The columns are part of the design
Date, doors, venue: three mono columns under a rule, sized and spaced to hold two lines each. Event posters live or die on whether the practical information is legible, and here it is already laid out.
What you can change
Seven controls. The fine-print block, the rule and the drips are authored layers you can edit or delete on the canvas.
- Click any element on the canvas to edit it directly
- Or describe the change in a sentence and let the assistant make it
- Export 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5 from the same document

Why not a chrome font
Downloadable chrome fonts bake the highlight into the glyph, so every letter has the same shine regardless of its shape and nothing moves. Generating the effect from live type with a shader behind it gives you highlights that respond to the actual letterforms and a background that flows for six seconds — and you can change the word without touching anything else.
Liquid Chrome Title: questions, answered
Is the chrome text template free?+
Free to open and edit, with 3 free 720p exports a day with no watermark. 1080p is a paid export if you want it at full HD for a screen or a projection.
What aspect ratios can I export?+
9:16, 16:9, 1:1 and 4:5. The shader fills whatever frame you pick and the columns retarget rather than being cropped at the sides.
Can I change the word and the colours?+
The title, the three columns, the outline-and-star colour and the type size are all named controls. The metallic banding derives from the palette, so the chrome stays chrome while the accents follow you.
Do I need After Effects?+
No. This is the kind of look that usually means a plugin or a stack of adjustment layers; here it is a document that renders in your browser.
How long is the clip?+
Six seconds, with the title landed at 2.4s and the full poster assembled by 3.0s. The speed control runs 0.5× to 2×.

Time Warp TitleA two-line display title rushes out of deep focus — stretched, blurred, trailing cyan and magenta afterimages — lands with a flash, then blasts past the lens.
Torus Text RingTen words ride a tilted ring around a matte 3D torus — bright and big as they sweep past the front, dim as they pass behind — while the brand word pops in the centre.
Snappy Poster TypeBlack poster, white condensed type: each line snaps wide and springs back to width, line after line, with a re-snap beat and a clean exit.
Gummy WordA chewy purple 3D word bounces in over a warm photo and keeps wobbling like jelly — extruded sides, a glossy top band and specular glints.
Revealed TypeFour lines of tight uppercase display type wipe up into view one after another over a violet gradient, hold, and slide out — a seamless loop.Put one word in chrome.
