Puffy 3D letterforms, from your own word
Bubble or gummy text is normally a Photoshop layer style, which means it is an image the moment you finish it and a rebuild every time the word changes. Here it is constructed from the type itself: six offset copies of your word stack up to make the extruded side, a clipped copy across the top provides the gloss band, a darker clipped copy under it gives the shade, and two ellipses ride on the letterforms as glints.
Because every layer of that stack is the same live text, changing the word rebuilds the whole solid. Why not a layer style
A Photoshop gummy text effect is beautiful and dead: it does not move, and changing the word means redoing the stack. This gives you the same look as a six-second clip where the word is a text field.
