Pull the soundtrack out of the clip.
Upload a video, pick MP3, WAV or M4A, and download just the audio. No timeline editor. Clips up to three minutes, processed on LazyKiwi servers.
What it is
A soundtrack extractor, not a remixer.
You already have the picture. You want the voice, the room tone or the music bed as a file you can drop into another edit. This demuxes the audio track and encodes it. It does not generate music and it does not clean noise — it takes what is already in the file.
How it works
Extract audio in three steps
Sign in and upload
MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 80 MB and three minutes.
Pick a format
MP3 for sharing, WAV for an editor, M4A if you want AAC in a small file.
Download the audio
The video on your disk is unchanged. If the clip has no audio track, you will get a clear error.
Formats
MP3, WAV and M4A
MP3 is the default for a voice note or a rough bed. WAV is uncompressed for a DAW. M4A is AAC if you need a smaller file than WAV without going MP3.
- MP3 for sharing
- WAV for editing
- M4A / AAC when size matters
Limits
Three minutes, 80 MB
This is a soundtrack pull, not a feature-length rip. Longer jobs belong in a desktop encoder.
- 3 minute cap
- 80 MB upload
- No audio track → a clear error
Privacy
Processed, then deleted
The file is encoded on our servers and the working copy is removed shortly after you download. Sign-in stops anonymous abuse of the encoder.
- Sign in required
- Working files expire
- Original stays on your disk
Why LazyKiwi
Why this one
No timeline
You are not opening Premiere to export one track.
Real encoder
FFmpeg on the server, not a browser guess.
Clear failure
Silent picture-only files are rejected instead of giving you an empty MP3.

FAQ
Questions
Will this work on a clip with no sound?+
No. You will get an error that the video has no audio track.
Do you keep the video?+
A working copy is encoded and then deleted. The file on your computer is never overwritten.
Why do I have to sign in?+
Encoding uses server CPU. A login stops the encoder being used as an anonymous batch farm.
Use cases
When you only need the sound
Voice from a screen recording
Keep the talk track, drop the picture.
A music bed you already licensed
The clip has the cue; the next edit needs the file.
