Why a generation failed, and what happens to your credits
Last checked against the product on
Most failures come from content checks, an image outside 300–6,000 px, a clip outside the tool's length limits, a missing prompt, or a model that is briefly busy. Whatever the reason, credits held for a failed generation are returned to your balance automatically.

Your credits
Credits are held when you press Generate and returned when the job fails or is deleted before it finishes. Check Settings → Credits History for the return line. If a failed job still shows as charged after an hour, email hello@lazykiwi.ai with the time of the job.
Fewer failures
- Use photos you own, with one clear subject and a visible face for person tools.
- Keep prompts concrete: what changes, where, and what stays the same.
- For video tools, trim to the 4–15 seconds you actually need — it is cheaper too.
- Real people: only upload photos of people who agreed to it (Terms of Use, Section 7).
FAQ
Do I lose credits when a generation fails?
No. The held credits are returned automatically.
My task has been running for a long time.
Video jobs usually take a few minutes; long or high-resolution jobs take longer. Jobs that time out fail and return their credits.
