Photos store more than pixels: GPS, a camera model, the time you pressed the shutter. This redraws the image in your browser and downloads a copy with that data gone. Nothing is uploaded.

A metadata stripper that never leaves your machine.
Most “EXIF removers” send the file to a server. This one does not. The picture is drawn onto a canvas and saved again, which drops EXIF, IPTC and GPS in one pass. Use it before you post a home photo, a client proof or anything that should not carry a location.

Anything stored as metadata is dropped: coordinates, lens, serial-ish camera fields, capture time. Pixels stay. A screenshot of a screenshot still looks like the screenshot.

Questions
Does this upload my photo?+
No. The image is processed in your browser and downloaded from there.
Is EXIF the only thing that gets removed?+
Redrawing the picture drops EXIF, IPTC and GPS. Pixels that are part of the image — a date stamp burned into the corner, a caption in the photo itself — stay, because they are not metadata. Use Remove Text from Image for that.
Will the picture look worse?+
PNG stays lossless. JPEG is re-encoded at high quality, so a tiny generation loss is possible, the same as any “save as” in an editor.
